the award for Best Exchange Company consecutively for last 4 years (since the inception of the award)
acknowledging its continuous above-industry average operational standards.
Today, we have presence across the terrain of the Sultanate, and we have been allocated 5 currency
exchange counters in the new Muscat International Airport and 1 in Duqm International Airport.
Recently, we have started visa fee collection services at Sohar Airport as well.
The Company has business arrangements with a number of Banks from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal,
Sri Lanka, Philippines, Indonesia and Egypt besides India and other International Instant Money Transfer
conglomerates like Western Union, Mastercard (TransFast), EzRemit, MoneyGram, Al Ansari Cash Express,
Instant Cash, and Ria Money.
Apart from remittance and currency exchange business,
GMEC has started providing additional services like fee collection for renewal of Indian Passports,
remitting contributions, registration and penalties to the Pravasi Welfare Fund for Non-Resident Keralites,
Ooredoo & Friendi recharge services and a
few other international telephone service providers like Ding.
